Entry to the API is based on the educational qualifications and experience of each applicant.  The API works closely with the education sector to ensure that the courses accredited for API membership meet the highest standards which ensures the quality of the education delivered and, critically, the ongoing quality and knowledge of API members.

The following Conditions of API Accreditation apply:

  1. Entry into the post-graduate program is in accordance with the API’s Accreditation Policy (2013).
  2. The Master of Property Development is endorsed for:
    • Associate Membership only providing REST0005 Valuation 1 is completed
  3. The API can withdraw accreditation of the program at any time if the program fails to meet Institute Standards and requirements, and the University of New South Wales is required to update the Institute of any changes to the endorsed programs.
     

Sydney Institute of TAFE
Period of Accreditation:

The following Conditions of API Accreditation apply: 

  1. Entry into undergraduate programs is in accordance with the API’s Accreditation Policy (2013). 
  2. The Bachelor of Property Valuation is accredited for Associate Membership, with Certified Practising Valuer (CPV) eligibility.

Western Sydney University
Period of Accreditation:    
19th November 2014 – 31st December 2019

The following Conditions of API Accreditation apply:

  1. Entry into the undergraduate and post-graduate programs are to be in accordance with the API’s Accreditation Policy (2013).

5.    The API can withdraw accreditation of the program at any time if the program fails to meet Institute Standards and requirements, and the Western Sydney University is required to update the Institute of any changes to the endorsed program
6.    Western Sydney University is entitled to use the API Logo under licence when advertising the accredited qualification. The Logo will be supplied to the university on application.
 


University of Newcastle

  8. The API can withdraw accreditation of the program at any time if the program fails to meet Institute Standards and requirements, and the Queensland University of Technology is required to update the Institute of any changes to the endorsed program / staffing.


Central Queensland University

Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology

  11. RMIT University is entitled to use the API Logo under licence when advertising the accredited qualification. The Logo is available by application from National Office.


The University of Melbourne 
Period of Accreditation:    
1st January 2015 – 31st December 2018

The following Conditions of API Accreditation apply:

  1. Entry into undergraduate and postgraduate programs is in accordance with the API’s Accreditation Policy (2011).
  2. The Bachelor of Environments (Property):
    • endorsed for Associate Membership with Certified Property Professional (CPP) certification providing additional study is undertaken Investment and Finance for Property and Property Law.
  3. The Master of Property (200 point) qualification:
    • Entry is for those who have completed the Bachelor of Environments (Property) or similar cognate degree
    • endorsed for Associate Membership with Certified Practising Valuer (CPV) 
    • endorsed for Associate Membership with Certified Property Manager (CPM) providing the following two elective subjects are completed Asset Management and Corporate Real Estate
    • endorsed for Associate Membership with Certified Facilities Manager (CFacM) providing the following two elective subjects are completed Asset Management and Corporate Real Estate.

    • Property Economics or Economics
