Rob Hecek presented with Award recognising the magnitude of his contributions to the profession and the API across his career.
At this year’s NPC a very spontaneous and special award was presented to Robert Hecek, Life Fellow of the API. This award was presented in recognition of the pioneering and innovative contributions that Rob has built for members not only in Australia but also contributing to the global profession. His work in the creation of the APIV Limited Liability scheme, the development of the International Fire Safety standards, and more recently his support in the build of Propsec, an industry led Professional Indemnity scheme.
His recent appointment as the Chair of WAVO is further evidence of his commitment to the profession and his ongoing championing of high professional standards and improved member education.
We heard from many of Rob’s colleagues and peers within the profession, as well as a lovely anecdote from a former employee of his, EIPA winner Sally Dale, the first female Valuer General of NSW.
The API was honoured to have the opportunity to present this award to an exceptional member and role model within the profession. Congratulations Rob, we truly appreciate all of your support both for our team and for the broader membership.
