In November 2024, Transmission Company Victoria (TCV) publicly released their preferred easement location for the VNI West project, and building on consultation from the past 12 months, their Landholder Liaison team are now consulting these landholders on the current location of the easement over their property as well as proposed transmission tower placement.

As this feedback is considered into next year, TCV will also then look to present offers of compensation to more than 200 landholders which will be informed by valuations undertaken by TCV’s appointed valuers where they’ve inspected properties, to commence negotiations.

TCV will then strongly encourage those landholders to seek their own valuation advice on these compensation offers – for which TCV will reimburse reasonable expenses.

The project’s main website can be found here.

Members are invited to submit an expression of interest in offering their services to affected landholders. Interested members will have their contact details added to a separate webpage on the API website to allow affected landholders to contact them.
