Q4 Australian Property Market Outlook attracts strong national media coverage
The Australian Property Institute’s Q4 2026 Australian Property Market Outlook, released on 14 October, has generated significant national media attention, with preliminary monitoring identifying 912 media placements in the first six days following release.
Of these, 694 were substantive placements, comprising 476 online articles and 218 radio broadcasts, with a further 218 secondary references within broader property market reporting.
Coverage was driven by the report’s forecasts for the residential property market, including expectations that a recovery would not begin until the second half of 2027.
Notable coverage included The Australian, alongside extensive syndication through Australian Associated Press across national and regional publications. The report also generated widespread radio coverage, including commentary and interviews featuring API Chief Economist Dr Sherman Chan.
The strong media response demonstrates the increasing profile of API’s quarterly Australian Property Market Outlook and reinforces the Institute’s role as a trusted, independent source of property market intelligence and forward-looking industry insights.
