Assigning Valuations
This member alert published 20 March 2019 was prepared in response to requests from Valuers in relation to assigning valuation reports prepared for one party to another party.
An “assigned” valuation (or “re-assignment”) generally should not be undertaken and the Valuer may decline to assign the Report to any third party for any reason.
Where the Valuer considers assigning the valuation report, the API strongly recommends that the Valuer assesses all risks associated with such an assignment prior to agreeing to any such request.
