IVSC Perspectives Paper: Managing and Communication Valuation Risk
The IVSC Valuation Risk Working Group has recently published a Perspectives Paper Getting Process Right: Managing and Communicating Value Uncertainty. This paper explores the concept of value uncertainty and examines how valuers can understand, manage and communicate it to their clients.
“Value uncertainty is not a failure of valuation. It is an inherent feature of valuing complex assets in complex markets.”
The perspectives paper invites feedback from stakeholders to inform future standard-setting.
The IVSC perspectives paper on value uncertainty is available here.
The API encourages members to review the paper and provide responses directly to the IVSC. The API urge you to also provide us a copy of your feedback via [email protected]
The API will be making a submission on behalf of the profession. If you would like to have your views considered as part of our submission, please contact the standards team at [email protected]
