This Standards Update is to advise API Members that the New Zealand specific addenda of ANZVGP 104 Insurance Cost Estimates has been updated to reflect legislative changes in NZ including the Fire and Emergency New Zealand Act 2012, the Levy Regulations 2024 and the Natural Hazards Insurance Act 2023. 

Additional updates to the GP content included a correction to a type on section 1.1, updating of a section headings at section 5.0 and 8.3, amendment to the last paragraph of section 7 for NZ only reference, and the effective date of the paper, which is 1 July 2026. 

For API Members providing insurance cost estimates in Australia there is no material change to the provision of those professional services under the updated Guidance Paper.
