What does Habitat for Humanity do?
Habitat for Humanity is one of the world’s largest not-for-profit housing providers for low-income families. Through its Global Village international volunteering program, volunteers help make the dream of safe and decent housing a reality for vulnerable families worldwide, which include those living with disability and illnesses, female and child-headed households, and older adults.
In 2024, Habitat is bringing together teams of changemakers to help make a real difference in Cambodia. In March, we will celebrate and recognise International Women’s Day with a project that actively contributes to programs that support gender equality to enable and empower women. Significant gender inequalities continue to exist in Cambodia, creating barriers to women’s equal participation in the country’s cultural, economic, and political life. Unite, empower, and build alongside local women for local women in recognition of International Women’s Day.
In May, we invite under-40s professionals seeking to cultivate their skills and confidence to build a successful leadership career to lead by example. Join other like-minded individuals in achieving your leadership potential by helping others and expanding your personal and professional network as you work shoulder-to-shoulder with people from all walks of life to build homes, develop camaraderie and create brighter tomorrows.
Join the International Women’s Day or Emerging Leaders’ Build for a truly unforgettable and meaningful week. Building experience is not required. Enjoy the wonders of the vibrant Cambodian culture and the warmth of its people, make new connections, and transform lives – including your own.
