Chris Stening is a Certified Practising Valuer (CPV) a senior property industry professional, with tertiary qualifications in Bachelor of Business (Property Economics), Bachelor of Environmental Planning and Master of Urban and Regional Planning. Chris has extensive experience in managing property assets from the front end or acquisition stage of the development and investment process. He specialises in the valuation of land and development projects, having in depth knowledge of the Sydney property market. Chris’s experience includes advising clients on rezoning and, highest and best use of development sites. Conducting development site feasibility analysis using hypothetical development software such as EstateMaster. In addition to this he undertakes statutory valuations under the Land Acquisition (Just Terms Compensation) Act 1991.
He also has skills in masterplanning and determining the economic viability for various land uses within a master plan. Chris has a firm understanding of the strategic and statutory planning framework enabling him to advise both government and private clients on the most economic, socially and environmentally sustainable type of development suitable for various landholdings around Sydney. Furthering his experience and commitment to planning Chris is a Full Member of the Planning Institute Australia (MPIA).
He has also provided valuation and planning advice on englobo subdivisions in the north and south west growth centres of Sydney. Thereby specialising in the peri-urban land market for residential development.
Recently Chris has been involved in mortgage valuations of Englobo land subdivisions for major developers such as Rawson Communities, Clearstate, BHL and Allam. Chris also does mortgage valuations for CBA, NAB, Westpac and ANZ.
