Happy New Year!
Whilst the challenges of last year aren’t yet entirely behind us, it is with great pleasure that we welcome all our Members back after what was hopefully a restful and restorative break. A time to absorb and reflect on our enormous bank of learnings from 2020 and an opportunity to design a productive 2021. I would like to take this personal opportunity to thank those members that reached out to me to share their own 2020 stories, acknowledging the gargantuan effort of our API team throughout last year and their great appreciation in this regard. I and our whole API team, genuinely appreciate and respect you taking the time out of your own busy agenda to make that connection and provide that feedback, thank you. It makes all our efforts all the more worthwhile.
We are very excited to be looking ahead at the upcoming year at API. With a number of exciting large-scale projects, in varying stages of development last year, ready to come to fruition over the coming months, we cannot wait to share these developments with you as we continue to grow and enhance your Member experience.
Whilst last year was a Year of Innovation, for us, this year is going to be our Year of Consolidation and Connection and we are focusing our efforts on building stronger connections with all our Members. We are doing this with a stronger university engagement strategy to connect those new incoming students to our experienced Members, we are building cohesive education pathways for our Members to connect them to new career prospects, we are connecting our data to provide tailored and valuable experiences for Members and of course connecting in person by bringing back where possible our face to face events program. These are just some of the ways that we are embracing consolidation and connection as our theme for 2021 and our team will help support us to deliver this to you.
We look forward to connecting with you all over the coming year and cannot wait to wait to share more exciting projects to enhance your practice, profession and career.
As always, you know where to find me. Please reach out to discuss any matters of importance to you, your staff and stakeholders during the course of the year.
I wish you a rich, rewarding and prosperous 2021 in all respects professionally and personally.
