As recently reported in the Australian Property Journal, the United Nations (UN) has formally adopted the International Fire Standards Common Principles (IFSS-CP) as a global standard. The IFSS-CP purpose is to provide a consistent approach to the safety and management of buildings.
The aim now of the IFSS Coalition, who created the IFSS-CP, is to produce a rating system that will enable buildings to display a certificate to show compliance with fire safety. Click here to read more about the IFSS-CP and also Robert Hecek LFAPI, APIV Chair and IFSS Coalition Member explaining next steps for the IFSS Coalition.
