
Attaining Provisional RPV or Associate CPV are big professional milestones in the life of a cadet valuer. The RPV/CPV Admissions Process has 3 main stages:
- Administration Review
- Report Review
- Professional Interview
What is the Administration Review stage?
It’s an internal check performed by API staff members to ensure all necessary documentation has been submitted. Staff also check an applicant meets all eligibility criteria before the valuation reports are assessed by the Report Review Panel.
What is checked at the Administration Review Stage?
- Applicant Profile
This should be complete and include date of birth, postal address and contact phone number - Degree certificate / academic transcript

For RPV this should demonstrate the equivalent of 12 months full time over the past 24 months and for CPV the equivalent of 24 months full time over the past 48 months - National Admissions Process Module and Practical Valuation Training (PVT) Course
Have these been completed to the right level?
- Each Valuation Report
For CPV, applicants must submit 3 long form reports of differing asset classes. For RPV 1 short form report allowed. Each long form report should include;- A letter of instruction
- A letter of certification
- Consistent subject address in letters and report
- Valuation
- Field Notes
- Been completed in the last 12 months
- Been signed by the applicant
- Correct post-nominals for the applicants’ level of membership
To progress to the Report Review stage an application must satisfy the above requirements. Occasionally, amendments/ additions are requested. When the application progresses to Report Review, applicants are notified via email.
