Sustainability and Value: understanding knowledge development in the valuation profession
Research Survey through the University of Melbourne

Over the past decade the question of whether sustainability features, initiatives and green buildings have had a value premium has been a topic of great debate. Whilst studies have advocated both ways in regards to a premium being evident or not, the market has matured in the understanding of sustainability and its role in the built environment.
Consequently, this survey seeks to gain greater understanding of the perception of valuers and their views on risk, value, and reporting of sustainability. This survey is a longitudinal survey that has been conducted since 2007. This year valuers from all areas are encouraged to respond to the survey in order to develop a greater understanding of our current market’s perspective on sustainability and value.
Please take the time to fill out the survey which takes 5 – 10 minutes at valuationandsustainabilityAUS.
Results will be published in 2021 and should anyone wish to contact the lead researcher, Dr. Georgia Warren-Myers at the University of Melbourne please contact via [email protected] or via phone (03) 8344 4325.
