The API is continuing to closely monitor the impacts of the COVID-19 lockdown in NSW.
From 21 July, the NSW council areas of Orange, Blayney and Cabonne in the Central West have been put into a lockdown scheduled to end on Wednesday 28 July.
Similar to the restrictions in the Greater Sydney area, residents can only leave home for essentials. However, construction activities continue, and shops will remain open.
Consistent with previous lockdowns, banks and financial services continue to be exempted from lockdowns. As an extension, valuations, as far as we are able to tell, continue to also be exempt as was the case previously, in Greater Sydney including the Blue Mountains, Central Coast, Central West, Wollongong and Shellharbour.
For more information regarding the lockdown in Central-west NSW please visit the NSW Government webpage for COVID restrictions in the Central West.
Fairfield, Liverpool and Canterbury-Bankstown
If you live in the Fairfield, Liverpool and Canterbury-Bankstown Local Government Areas of Sydney, you cannot leave the local government area that you live in to go to work if you are not an authorised worker. See the full restrictions here.
API Members are also encouraged to visit the COVID Hub on the API website which has advice regarding how to best carry out valuations in a COVID-safe manner. Be mindful of the restrictions of visitors to homes and if you are not able to inspect a vacant property, refer to the API COVID-19 protocols.
