Recently, three more LGAs in Sydney have been added to the Authorised Workers Order list. In order for our Members to stay up-to-date with restrictions, we have collated a list of Frequently Asked Questions for those who live or work within a restricted LGA.

As of 29 July 2021, restrictions currently apply to Fairfield, Canterbury-Bankstown, Liverpool, Blacktown, Cumberland, Parramatta, Campbelltown and Georges River LGAs.

Frequently Asked Questions

I live in a restricted LGA, can I perform valuations in another of the restricted LGAs?

Yes. Current advice from the NSW Government states that property professionals performing works that support critical financial services and infrastructure do fall under the definition of an Authorised Worker and you are permitted to leave your LGA. Please familiarise yourself with API COVID-19 protocols available at our COVID-19 Hub.

Note: If you live in Fairfield, Cumberland or Canterbury-Bankstown LGAs you are required to get a COVID-19 test every three days.

I live in a restricted LGA, can I perform valuations within my LGA?

Yes. Current advice from the NSW Government states that you can leave your home if the work that you are required to do is also within the same LGA in which you live.

I do not live in a restricted LGA, can I perform valuations in one of the restricted LGAs?

Yes. Current advice from the NSW Government states that you can enter one of the restricted LGAs to perform valuations however, please familiarise yourself with API COVID-19 protocols available at our COVID-19 Hub.

I do not live in a restricted LGA, can I perform valuations in one of the restricted LGAs?

Yes. Current advice from the NSW Government states that you can enter one of the restricted LGAs to perform valuations however, please familiarise yourself with API COVID-19 protocols available at our COVID-19 Hub. Please also note that you are entering a restricted LGA so please monitor yourself closely for symptoms and get tested if:

  • you have any symptoms
  • were at a location at the same time as a confirmed COVID-19 case
  • come into contact with a confirmed COVID-19 case

I do not live in the Greater Sydney, Blue Mountains, Central Coast, Wollongong and Shellharbour LGAs, can I perform valuations in Greater Sydney including the Blue Mountains, Central Coast, Wollongong and Shellharbour LGAs?

Yes. Current advice from the NSW Government states that you can enter the Greater Sydney, Blue Mountains, Central Coast, Wollongong and Shellharbour LGAs to perform valuations however if you do visit these areas while the stay at home rules are in place, you must follow the stay at home rules when you return home for 14 days after you were in the area. I do not live inside the Greater Sydney, Blue Mountains, Central Coast, Wollongong and Shellharbour LGAs, can I perform valuations outside the Greater Sydney including the Blue Mountains, Central Coast, Wollongong and Shellharbour LGAs?

Yes. Current advice from the NSW Government states that you can continue to perform valuations however, please familiarise yourself with API COVID-19 protocols available at our COVID-19 Hub.
