It is with much pleasure that I officially announce Bart Mead as the new Chair of the API Board. Many will know Bart well, having collaborated with Bart over many years in roles as Director and Qld State Committee Member.
A member since 1990, Bart has generously volunteered his time to the API for more than 10 years in various committee roles. With a strong background in finance and corporate governance, his experience and expertise are a great asset to the API.
Bart is passionate about furthering the skill development of property professionals to future-proof the profession and, as Chair, ensuring a strong and healthy association.
Bart Mead shares “I am looking forward to ensuring the hard work the API has done over the last five years continues to reap real rewards for our members, our clients and the Property Profession as a whole.”
I have enjoyed our API journey to date and am very much looking forward to working alongside Bart Mead, with his years of industry expertise and insights, to pursue and deliver new initiatives for our Members and more broadly, advance the interests of the property profession both in Australia and globally.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank our former Chair Diana D’Ambra for her support and stewardship of the API Board during her term and acknowledge her important contribution on many fronts. I am grateful for her commitment to advancing the API to where it is today.
2023 brings with it much uncertainty in the economy, which in turn, affords us the opportunity to support our members in many ways. Bring it on!
