Amelia Hodge CEO | The Australian Property Institute
Strategic thinking senior executive with almost 30 years experience leading and contributing to corporate business performance in both executive and non executive roles. Amelia is supported by a powerful combination of legal, governance and commercial experience across private and public sectors, professional services, member based associations and economic, social and environmental infrastructure projects. Her experience and qualifications offer valuable leadership skill and commercial expertise, with significant strength in the areas of: strategy development and implementation risk management organisational change corporate governance multi-tiered stakeholder engagement government engagement, processes and regulatory requirements HR strategy, people leadership and mentoring Amelia’s professional reputation and high level of integrity are two personal aspects of which she is most proud.
Damian Collins President | Real Estate Institute of Western Australia
Damian Collins is the current President of the Real Estate Institute of Western Australia (REIWA) following his re-election in October 2020. Damian has served on REIWA Council since 2011 and actively supports and champions the WA real estate community through this leadership role. Damian has a Bachelor of Business from RMIT University in Melbourne, a Graduate Diploma in Property from Curtin University in Perth and a Graduate Diploma in Applied Finance and Investment through FINSIA. He is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia and a Fellow of the Financial Services Institute of Australia. Damian is the founder and Managing Director of Momentum Wealth and Chairman of Westbridge Funds Management. Having been an active investor himself for over 25 years, Damian continues to apply his extensive experience in property to help fellow investors make successful investments through direct and syndicated property.
Trent Cropley Director | Valuation Advisory - Industrial
Trent is a Director in Brisbane specialising in the Industrial sector. Trent is a Registered Valuer in Queensland, is an Associate of the Australian Property Institute and also a member of Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (MRICS). Having gained in excess of 10 years’ experience in the industrial sector, Trent specialises in the valuation of industrial assets (both freehold and leasehold) at price points ranging from $2 million to in excess of $100 million, located across the wider Brisbane area and throughout regional Queensland. Valuations are carried out for a broad client base and a range of purposes including first mortgage security reliance, financial/corporate reporting, acquisition/disposal purposes and rental negotiations.
Alan Oster Group Chief Economist | National Australia Bank (NAB)
Alan Oster is NAB’s Group Chief Economist. Alan joined the Bank in 1992 from the Federal Treasury where he worked for 15 years - his special field being economic forecasting and monetary policy. He grew up in Newcastle and graduated (with first class honours) in economics from Newcastle University. He also holds a Masters degree in economics from the Australian National University. Immediately before joining the Bank, Alan was the Senior Adviser in Treasury responsible for economic forecasting and modelling. In 1987 he was seconded for nearly four years as Counsellor-Economic and Financial with Australia’s delegation to the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development in Paris. As Group Chief Economist, Alan is responsible for NAB’s global economic and financial forecasts. He is also a highly respected and much quoted commentator on Australian and global economic trends and policy issues.
John Sears Head of Research | Australia Cushman & Wakefield
John Sears leads Cushman and Wakefield's Australian Research Team.  The Team supports Cushman & Wakefield and their clients with market data and analysis that helps to identify what’s next for commercial real estate.  John’s previous roles have included Head of Research at Vicinity Centres, Head of Property Research at Colonial First State Global Asset Management, Director, Global Capital Markets Research and Head of Australian Forecasting Services and Strategic Research at Jones Lang LaSalle as well as 10 years in the AMP Capital Investors Investment Strategy and Economics Team.
Nicholas Ward Senior Economist | Housing Industry Association
Nick has worked as a professional economist for 12 years, focusing on forecasting and analysing costs and benefits of government policy in housing, taxation, and other areas. Nick joined HIA in March 2021, having previously worked at The Centre for International Economics, Independent Economics and the Reserve Bank of Australia.
Dr. Maria B. Yanotti Senior Lecturer in Economics | Tasmanian School of Business and Economics | University of Tasmania
Dr. Maria B. Yanotti is a Senior Lecturer in Economics at the Tasmanian School of Business and Economics (TSBE), University of Tasmania. She is an applied economist specializing in household and housing finance, mortgage markets, banking, and housing markets, with econometric and statistical analysis skills for large databases. She has published in leading domestic and international journals.  She is sought out for her knowledge on mortgage and housing markets. She has acquired significant experience in conducting policy-relevant research and analysis. She is currently an Academic Member for the External Reference Group of The National Housing Finance and Investment (NHFIC) Corporation, Australia.
