David Sullivan - NSW & ACT Managing Director Herron Todd White - NSW & ACT Managing Director, Herron Todd White
David has over 28 years of experience in property valuation and advisory. Prior to joining HTW in Dubbo in 1994, David worked for the NSW Valuer General at Nyngan. David was appointed a Director in 1999 and specialises in residential, commercial, development, going concerns, rural, viticulture and water valuations. David was integral in the expansion of the HTW brand in NSW. in 2019 David was appointed Managing Director of HTW NSW and ACT.
Laila Burnet - National Director - Health, Aged Care and Seniors Living, m3property
Laila is the National Director of the Health, Aged Care and Seniors Living team. She specialises in providing valuation and property advice. Over the course of her career, Laila has worked across a range of asset classes including residential, commercial and industrial properties. In her current role, Laila undertakes valuations and advises clients in relation to medical, retirement, aged care and disability assets including going concern and freehold valuations on existing and proposed projects. Laila specialises in the valuation of large portfolios for financial reporting purposes together with providing extensive market, demographic studies, acquisition and divestment advice. Laila has been working as a Property Valuer since 1997 providing a range of valuation services in both the residential and commercial sectors and also spent five years managing and operating her own real estate practice in Adelaide before moving to Melbourne in 2005.
Besa Deda - Chief Economist, St George Bank
Besa Deda is the Chief Economist of the St.George Banking Group, which includes St.George, Bank of Melbourne, BankSA and RAMS. Besa has been in this role since 2008. As the Bank’s economic spokesperson, Besa is responsible for research on the economy and financial markets. She formulates views and forecasts on the outlook for the economy, interest rates and currencies and manages a team of economists. Besa gives regular presentations and often appears in the media reporting on economic conditions. Prior to this role, Besa held Senior Strategist and Economist roles with the Commonwealth Bank covering fixed income, foreign exchange, macroeconomics and equities. Besa was with the CBA for nearly 8 years and before that was an economist with the Colonial Group. Besa is the Secretary for the Australian Business Economists’ Association, is a member of the Melbourne Economic Forum, has previously written a regular property column for The Australian newspaper and lectured for FINSIA.
Katy Dean - Director, Head of Industrial Research, Knight Frank
Katy is a senior member of Knight Frank’s national research and consultancy team based in Sydney. She delivers a wide range of research projects, spanning market research and strategic advice, leadership initiatives, forecasting and consultancy services. Katy has extensive experience in Australian and European real estate markets. After starting her research career with Colliers Australia, she moved to their Central Eastern European team and later to Savills Australia, amassing more than 12 years of experience in property research and consultancy before joining Knight Frank in 2018. In these roles, Katy developed a keen interest in the industrial and logistics sector. She is now a Director and Head of Industrial Research at Knight Frank.
Scott Fuller - Director NSW, Herron Todd White
With over 20 years property valuation experience and the last 10 years as Rural Director at Herron Todd White NSW & ACT, Scott is one of our most experienced Agribusiness experts. Specialising in irrigation, dryland agriculture, grazing, horticulture, water entitlements, large scale stations and rural property valuations, Scott is also qualified and experienced across commercial, industrial and residential. Highly regarded within the industry, Scott has led major Agribusiness projects across NSW and ACT.
Andrew Jolliffe - Founder/Managing Director - Asia Pacific Region, HTL Property
Over the past 30 years, Andrew Jolliffe has been at the helm of some of Australia’s most high profile and high performing hospitality and gaming indexed property businesses. During this time, Andrew occupied numerous Senior Executive roles, including General Manager of the successful Palace Leisure Group (PLG), Managing Director of Grant Samuel Private Equity Hospitality Fund and Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director of ASX listed hotel and gaming company National, Leisure and Gaming Limited. Prior to launching HTL Property, Andrew owned and operated the market leading hospitality property business within the Ray White Group; Australasia’s largest Real Estate company.
Luke Mackintosh - Partner, Strategy and Transactions - Real Estate, EY
Luke is a Partner in the EY Real Estate Advisory Services team with over 30+ years of real estate advisory experience across Australasia providing specialised advice in the Multi-Family Housing (MfH) and Institutional Build to Rent (‘Inst-BtR’) sectors. Luke is Australia’s market leading expert in Institutional BtR, assisting state government, private developers, not for profit organisations, Community Housing Providers, investors, fund managers and operators in establishing the BtR asset class across Australia, including involvement in key BtR Transactions in QLD, NSW and VIC government. Luke also has extensive experience in the Social and Affordable Housing sector and has recently undertaken a significant commercial advisory role with Homes Victoria to support the delivery of the Big Housing Build; providing unique insight to government and private market sector involvement, investment and delivery methods which can support the provision of long-term affordable housing solutions.
Leif Olson - Head of Retail Leasing, CBRE
Leif is CBRE’s Head of Retail Leasing running a successful national business of leasing executives across the country. He has over 15 years’ experience in the property sector, during which time he has been involved in a number of business lines. Leif specialises in leasing high street properties and retail developments, working across a broad range of both private and institutional clients. He has a track record of providing superior outcomes for his clients underpinned by his detailed understanding of retailer requirements and overall market conditions.
Dr Nicola Powell - Chief of Research and Economics, Domain
Dr Nicola Powell is the Chief of Research and Economics for Domain Group. Nicola is the leading force behind Domain’s data reports that keep the Australian public up to date on what’s happening in the market.  She is a well-known property expert, featuring regularly on broadcast and in print media, as well as Domain’s media channels. Nicola’s analysis drives the agenda for the nation’s property conversation. She is known for her succinct, easily understood, commentary style and in-depth analysis of market trends.
John Sears - Head of Research, Australia, Cushman & Wakefield
John Sears leads Cushman and Wakefield's Australian Research Team. The Team supports Cushman & Wakefield and their clients with market data and analysis that helps to identify what’s next for commercial real estate. John’s previous roles have included Head of Research at Vicinity Centres, Head of Property Research at Colonial First State Global Asset Management, Director, Global Capital Markets Research and Head of Australian Forecasting Services and Strategic Research at Jones Lang LaSalle as well as 10 years in the AMP Capital Investors Investment Strategy and Economics Team.
