Bob has had over 50 years’ experience in valuation and property related fields, initially being trained in the Valuer-General’s Department in Sydney. During the 1980s Bob had experience in real estate sales, consultancy and marketing, with local real estate firms before taking the position with the Government of Zambia as a valuation officer under an Australian aid scheme to implement a rating system throughout Zambia. Bob returned from Zambia in 1990 to form a valuation partnership in the Lower Hunter Valley, to become known as Duponts Valuation and Property Research in 2004. In 2009, Duponts joined the national franchise of Preston Rowe Paterson (PRP) and expanded their area to include a Central Coast office. In recent years, Bob has concentrated on complex and specialised valuation areas of all property types including rural, commercial, industrial properties as well as specialist areas of golf courses, marinas, wind farms and wet area leases. Bob takes an active interest in the education of property students, being an active Member of the Australian Property Institute, where has held many different roles, including Education Chairman, Member of the Valuation Standards Committee and President of the NSW Division. He was appointed conjoint Lecturer in the development of the valuation modules for Master of Property course at the University of Newcastle. Bob is an active participant in the property industry presenting on general subjects or delivering technical papers at various industry events. Recent presentations involved specialist papers on wet area leases, specialised valuations under the Valuation of Land Act, and GST as it affects property. Bob’s wide interest in property also led him to a being a judge on the Lower Hunter Civic Design Awards for five years from 2004 to 2009. Bob is currently in the role of Associate Director at Preston Rowe Paterson Newcastle and Central Coast Pty Ltd, having stepped away on 1 July 2020 from the CEO role he performed for 11 years.

Codie has worked as a Valuer since 2014 and has experience in the valuation of specialised commercial assets throughout regional and metropolitan NSW including service stations, child care centres and motels. Codie's experience spans across all assessment types including lessee’s interest and freehold going concern market valuations, in addition to market rent assessments. In addition to having extensive experience in the valuation of residential and rural/lifestyle properties, Codie has knowledge of undertaking determinations of compensation for the NSW Valuer General in accordance with the Land Acquisitions (Just Terms Compensation) Act. Codie currently holds the position of Senior Valuer within Valuation NSW in the Department of Planning and Environment. Codie is based in Newcastle and currently sits on the NSW YPP Committee.
