Join us for an online seminar on everything you need to know to apply for CPV or RPV with the API. This session also includes what you will need to know to apply with the Valuers Registration Board of Queensland.

During this webinar you will hear from the API as well as our experienced report reviewer, Vern Di Salvo, on exactly what you need to put forward a sucessful application. Greg Clarke and Chris Kamitsis, both veteran interviewers, will step us through what to expect from an interview. Finally, Andrea Blake from the VRBQ will explain the process and next steps with their application process.

This is a must attend for both potential applicants or cadets and their supervisors.

Please note that while this is a QLD event held in the QLD time zone, most of this information is broadly applicable to all states and territories.

Greg Clarke, Director at Gregone Pty ltd
Greg joined McGees Property Brisbane in 1983 as Valuation Manager and was then appointed a Director in 1988 with the responsibility for Valuation and Professional Services practice direction, professional development, marketing and staff training. Greg has considerable commercial, industrial and retail experience, specializing in corporate real estate, CBD commercial buildings as well as rental assessments and determinations for retail premises. As a Life Fellow, Greg is a highly respected member of the API and the industry as a whole. He brings decades of experience to every interview conducted by the API.
Vern Di Salvo
Vern is a registered valuer in Queensland and has worked throughout the state primarily in the Statutory Valuation environment. In the last 10 years Vern held the position of Deputy ValuerGeneral Queensland. At the API, Vern is one of our primary report reviewers. During this session Vern will inform us precisely what makes a good report and how he assesses them.
Andrea Blake, Senior QUT Lecturer and Chair of the VRBQ.
Andrea is the current Board Chair at the Valuers Registration Board of Queensland. Additionally she has over 15 years experience as an academic. At the Queensland University of Technology she is currently a senior lecturer in property economics. During this period, Andrea has published papers and spoken at international academic conferences on a wide array of property related subjects.
Chris Kamitsis, Managing Director of HKV
Chris is the managing director of HKV (Horrigan Kamitsis Valuers). Chris Kamitsis graduated from University of Queensland in 1992 and is a Fellow of the Australian Property Institute (FAPI), a professional Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (MRICS) and a Registered Valuer in Queensland. He is also a member of the Queensland Environmental Law Association (QELA). He is an examiner for the API and a past member of the API’s membership committee (QLD).
