Presenters

Joshua Perry, Property Valuer Office of the Valuer General, Department of Natural Resources and Environment Tasmania
Joshua is a Certified Property Valuer, Associate Member and State Chair of the API in Tasmania. Joshua completed his training in Tasmania as a cadet with Herron Todd White before gaining his CPV accreditation.  Joshua primarily began working independently in the residential area of the business. After undertaking some retraining and leaving the industry temporarily to work and gain accreditations in mortgage brokering and asset finance, he returned to the industry to work in a smaller botique firm working across all asset classes, but primarily retraining in the area of rural and agribusiness valuations. Joining the API as a committee member in 2017, Josh has been State Chair of the Tasmanian Committee since 2021.  Currently working as a valuer with the Office of the Valuer General in Tasmania, outside of work he sits on the board of Launceston City Football Club as well as taking up the position of President for the junior division.
Amelia Hodge, Chief Executive Officer, Australian Property Institute
Amelia Hodge is the CEO of the Australian Property Institute and has enjoyed a senior executive career spanning some 27 years, with her depth of experience driving successful outcomes across a range of sectors, projects and industries. Her previous Chief Executive, Senior executive and project roles have included Origin Energy, Powerlink Queensland, the Cross River Rail Delivery Authority, Qld Law Society and Coffey Commercial Advisory, following her legal career in the property sector.  Amelia currently sits as an independent representative on the Council for the Order of Australia. She has held or retains Non-Executive Directorships with Transmax, the Gladstone Water Board, Lexon Insurance, 3rd Space and Artisan Queensland, has chaired board audit and risk committees and sits on the advisory board of tech start-up Law Advisor.  On behalf of the Queensland Office for Women, Amelia also sat on the Great Artesian Basin Advisory Council.  Amelia holds a Bachelor of Law and a Graduate Certificate in Property Economics from Queensland University of Technology and has undertaken the Harvard Kennedy School of Government Infrastructure in the Market Economy programme. She is a graduate member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
Michael Bailey, Chief Executive Officer, Tasmanian Chamber of Commerce
Michael Bailey became Chief Executive Officer of the Tasmanian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (TCCI)  in 2013.  Michael has a strong business experience across Australia in media, marketing and general management.  His expertise in marketing was recognised in the 2009 National and International Brands. Michael has led the TCCCI to realise its vision and drives a contemporary organisation as the peak employer body in Tasmaia.  Active at the national level through his activities with the Australian chamber of Commerce and Industry (ACCI) and the Australian Chamber Alliance.  Michael has strengthened the chamber movement in Tasmania through the TCCI's Regional Chamber Alliance. Michael is also a keen cyclist and tragic Carlton supporter.
Andrew McCullagh, Red Panda Property
Andrew McCullagh found his future direction in life, when he sold desk positions in the classroom as a fundraiser for the class social committee.  Proudly Tasmanian, he founded Pringles Chips Australia in the early 90's and moved into property after selling the company back to Procter and Gamble some three years after its creation. Having experienced all aspects of real estate, he dipped his toes into Property Development mid 90's, before creating Portico Property and Portico Connect Plus and setting some new innovations in real estate sales.  Returning to development full time around 2014 through a number of small developments, before creating Red Panda Property Group in 2017.  The Red Panda Property Group currently has projects over $500m earmarked for the next 3-5 years, all in Tasmania, which includes the two icononic buildings being the old Launceston TAFE (now reUNION district) and the 184 year old Morris Store site at Swansea.
Madeleine Swan, Associate Director of Agribusiness Research  ANZ
Madeleine Swan has been has been Associate Director of Agribusiness Research for ANZ Commercial bank since 2015 where she is responsible for analysing global and domestic trends in the agribusiness sector.  Prior to the Madeleine held roles in ANZ government relations contributing ANZ's international and trade relations, as well as a Senior Trade Consultant with a Melbourne based consultancy.  Madeleine has a Bachelor of Commerce and Law from the University of Melbourne and a Post Graduate Diploma in Economics.
​Kelly Grigsby, Chief Executive Officer, City of Hobart ​
Kelly Grigsby is the Chief Executive Officer at the City of Hobart.  Prior to moving to Hobart, Kelly was the CEO of Wyndham City Council one of Australia' fastest growing cities located in the Western suburbs of Melbourne.  Kelly has extensive CEO experience in local government; and was one of the youngest CEO's to be appinted in Australian local government when she first commenced the role.  Kelly is recognised as a progressive, community focussed and visionary leader. Kelly has been on the Panel of Top 50 Women Public Sector in the Victorian Public Service, is a regular panellist at National Growth Area Alliance forums, CEDA Victoria events and Centre for Policy Development think tanks.
Richard Steedman, Knight Frank
Richard has approximately 25 years experience in Hobart’s commercial property market. Richard commenced his career in the property profession in 1998 as a Commercial Property Manager, managing a variety of commercial properties, including retail, office and industrial premises. Managements of note included the Executive Building and the Glenorchy Central Shopping Centre.  After 5 years of Commercial Property Management, Richard transferred to the Valuation profession with Brothers & Newton (now Opteon Property Group). During a 13 year valuation career, Richard rose to the role of Manager of Opteon’s Commercial Valuation and Consultancy Division in Hobart. Richard joined Knight Frank in 2015 and became a Partner/Director in 2020.  He is very active in both the sales and leasing of commercial property including many of Hobart’s largest deals on a variety of property types, particularly the office sector.  Richard has also served as the State President of the Tasmanian Division of the  Australian Property Institute (API).
