Christopher James Pettit, Professor - UNSW
Professor Christopher James Pettit Professor and Director of the City Future Research Centre Univeristy of New South Wales Chris Pettit is the Director of the City Futures Research Centre, inaugural professor of Urban Science, and Plus Alliance Fellow at UNSW Sydney. He currently Chair of the Board of Directors for CUPUM (Computational Urban Planning and Urban Management) and on the International Advisory Board for the “Geo for all” initiative. He is a member of the Planning Institute of Australia’s National Plantech Wrking Group, the advisory board for the Centre for Data Leadership, the Committee for Sydney’s Smart Cities Taskforce and the NSW Government Expert Advisory Group for Planning Evidence and Insights.
Chyi Lin Lee, Associate Professor - UNSW
Chyi Lin Lee Associate Professor UNSW Associate Professor Chyi Lin Lee is currently the discipline director of construction management and property at the University of New South Wales. His research on housing and property investment has been presented at a variety of international conferences and been published widely. Recent works on housing and property investment have covered issues such as housing economics, real estate futures contracts, property finance and housing submarkets and have been published in leading property and multidisciplinary journals in the US and UK such as the Journal of Real Estate Finance & Economics, Housing Studies, Habitat International, Journal of Cleaner Production, Energy Policy, Transportation, Accounting and Finance, and Journal of Property Investment and Finance.
Reg Wade, PHD Candidate - UNSW
Reg Wade PHD Candidate UNSW Reg is a PhD candidate and Research Assistant at the City Futures Research Centre at UNSW. Formerly a consultant at SGS Economics and Planning and a graduate of UNSW’s Bachelor of City Planning, Reg has experience providing analysis and strategic planning advice to different levels of government across a range of topics such as housing, employment and economic development, and infrastructure contributions planning. Reg’s research at City Futures looks at housing development processes and his PhD looks at how software tools can support planners in understanding land value impacts of their policy decisions, as part of the Value Australia CRC-Project.
Dr Balamurugan Soundararaj, Post-Doctoral Researcher - UNSW
Dr Balamurugan Soundararaj Post-Doctoral Researcher UNSW Dr Balamurugan Soundararaj is a post-doctoral researcher at City Futures Research Centre, University of New South Wales working in the “Value Australia” project building large-scale automated valuation models for the Australian property market. Prior to this he has worked in both academia at University College London and real estate industry - Jones Lang Lasalle. He received his PhD form Department of Geography UCL, Masters from Centre for Advanced Spatial Analysis UCL and bachelor's in planning, School of Planning and Architecture, Delhi. His core research interest is in the collection, analysis, modelling and visualisation of large-scale spatial data.
William Thackway, Masters of Philosophy candidate - UNSW
William Thackway Masters of Philosophy candidate UNSW William is a postgraduate research student at the City Futures Research Centre at the University of New South Wales (UNSW). He completed his bachelor's degree in Actuarial Studies at UNSW, and has worked in government, consulting, and private roles in the insurance sector. His previous research has looked at the interplay of Airbnb and the housing market, with a particular focus on the COVID-19 pandemic, while his postgraduate research looks at the identification and prediction of gentrification hotspots. 
Mark Nassif, CEO of Value Australia - UNSW
Mark Nassif Director CEO of Value Australia  With over 25 years’ experience in the Australian Property Valuation & Advisory Industry, Mark has been at the forefront of transforming the valuation cottage industry into a more corporate one today. Mark is highly regarded in the Australian property market, being well regarded by Lenders, Government Departments, Not-for Profit Organisations plus the Valuation profession where he is a Fellow of the Australian Property Institute. He also has experience in the Asian region and understands different markets. Mark is a leader in terms of the evolution of the valuation and mortgage industry, pursuing new initiatives, solutions and digital platforms whilst ensuring the customer experience is always considered.
