Situated at our Rosebud Office on the Mornington Peninsula, the role of the Valuation Officer is to deliver a high-quality valuation service to Council.
The Opportunity
An opportunity exists to part of a dynamic and innovative Valuation Team. The core of the role is the completion of statutory valuations on the Mornington Peninsula. You will part of the in-house Valuation Team delivering quality output.

Position Title: Valuation Officer
- Temporary full-time position to approximately 30 June 2022
- 38 hours per week, Band 5 starting salary $71,181.87 p.a.
- The Valuation Officer is to contribute to the efficient and effective performance of the Valuations Unit by assisting with the completion of the Shire’s valuation requirements for rating, statutory and corporate purposes.

Job tasks & responsibilities
Core accountabilities include:
The Valuation Officer position will include administrative tasks through to inspections in the field and computer-assisted valuations.
Specifically, the position is required to:
- Assist with the annual revaluation of approximately 105,000 assessments
- Assist with supplementary valuations approximating 4,500 per annum
- Assist with the biennial asset and insurance revaluations
- Assist with valuation objections
- Assist with Public Open Space Valuations
Skills, experience, and other requirements
The ideal candidate will have:
- Demonstrated experience working in Statutory Valuations and Valuation Best Practice Specification Guidelines
- Competent in use of Valuation Management Online Software (IDS VMOnline)
- Experience in local government, government or large and complex organisations
- An Employee Working with Children Check
- Preparedness to undertake an Australian Criminal History Check
- A valid Driver’s Licence
