Due to continued growth and significant upcoming opportunities, JLL Infrastructure Advisory is seeking expressions of interest from experienced Land Access Officers and Land Access Coordinators.
Originally founded in 1970, JLL Infrastructure Advisory is one of Australia’s leading providers of land access and land acquisition services working on some of Australia’s largest and most significant major infrastructure projects. Due to continued growth and significant upcoming opportunities, JLL Infrastructure Advisory is seeking expressions of interest from experienced Land Access Officers and Land Access Coordinators.
Land Access Officers
The main performance objective of the role is to develop, maintain and foster trusting and respectful relationships with landholders and stakeholders impacted by infrastructure projects.
It is expected you will have experience in the following:
- Initiating contact with landholders to provide an overview of the project and confirm contact details and engagement preferences
- Understanding the landholder’s connection with their land and the broader community and how they operate their property
- Explaining the impact of the project on their property and how those impacts will be managed and in consultation with the landholder determine practical mitigation measures;
- Conveying landowner insights and queries to the broader project team and providing timely, considered responses
- Explaining the need to undertake investigations on their land to inform the feasibility of the project, how those investigations will be undertaken and agree property access conditions to be observed
- Organising and attending the investigations on each property to ensure access conditions are observed and to be a recognisable, trusted face for the landholder should they have any questions
- Provide regular progress updates to landholders and opportunities for them to participate in project activities such as community information sessions and submissions to the Project EIS
- Explain the land acquisition and compensation process, the steps and timeframes involved and the landholder’s ability to seek professional advice
- Managing land acquisition negotiations through regular liaison with the landholder and their representatives and issues resolution with the project team.
The Land Access Officer is required to travel to the project area on a regular basis and stay away for up to 2 weeks at a time depending on project needs.
Land Access Coordinators
It is expected you will have experience in the following:
- Exposure to multi-disciplinary land access requirements for major infrastructure projects.
- Creation, management and continuous improvement of land access processes, systems and databases to efficiently initiate, assess, approve/deny and co-ordinate land access requests from internal stakeholders and external contractors.
- Setting expectations with internal and external stakeholders regarding land access requirements and timeframes.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, especially database creation
