Assistant Valuer Graduate Program

Our respected graduate program, established in 2007, is a steppingstone to success in the valuation industry. Join 35 fellow graduates each year and embark on a journey that turns you into a qualified Valuer. Over 98% of our graduates become qualified Valuers after our program, contributing to a skilled workforce.

About Our Graduate Program

Established in 2007, our graduate program has evolved to become one of the well respected graduate programs in the valuation industry with 35 graduates completing the program each year. Since 2007, 98% of all graduates have become qualified Valuers at the completion of our program and over 40% of our valuer workforce have completed the graduate program.

About Assistant Valuers

Multiple opportunities have become available to participate in our 24 month Assistant Valuer Program. Herron Todd White (VicTas) is committed to attracting and retaining top quality valuation graduates. Participation in the program will allow you to explore your interest in property valuation and gain the necessary professional experience to obtain your CPV qualifications.

The program is designed to ensure your development of technical and theoretical knowledge and skills to enable you to become a respected and highly skilled Valuer, across different sections of residential and commercial valuations. Through our structured 24 month program, you will rotate through our Residential and Commercial Divisions, gaining experience in a broad range of systems and valuations, comprising of:

* Mentoring
* On the job training
* Assisting in conducting valuations, preparing, and submitting reports
* Attending and conducting property inspections under the supervision of a qualified Valuer
* Utilising mobile technology for field inspections
* Completing appropriate research of market evidence and analysis of comparable sales
* Managing work tasks in conjunction with the administration team to ensure compliance with service level agreements
* Building effective business relationships internally and externally
* Adhering to quality reporting standards and audit processes
* Ensuring compliance with service level agreements and maintain client relations

Should you be successful in obtaining a position, you will spend 12 months working in our Residential Division based in one of our satellite offices based on where you reside, Geelong, Cranbourne, Ringwood or our Melbourne office. You will then rotate to our Commercial Division where you will have the option of working in one of our many teams, including Retail, Industrial, Hospitality and Leisure, Rural, Residential Development and Medical. This rotation will be based out of our Melbourne office.

You Have

* Tertiary qualifications in a property related field (currently studying or graduates)
* A passion for the property industry
* Strong computer literacy skills
* Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
* Excellent telephone manner and customer service ethic
* Ability to work within tight time constraints and multitask
* Strong attention to detail
* Previous experience in the property industry is advantageous

Recruitment Process

Your application will be reviewed against the requirements of the position. If you are selected for the next stage of the recruitment process, you will be invited to attend a group assessment centre in our Melbourne office on 1 September 2023. Should you be successful during the assessment centre you will progress to an individual interview which will take place in the week commencing 4 September 2023.
