What this job involves
We are currently seeking to appoint an experienced Valuer, who is CPV qualified to join our Commercial Metro team in Sydney. In this role, you will undertake commercial property valuations for office, retail and industrial assets, complying with all company and relevant professional standards and requirements, to meet and exceed our clients’ service needs and expectations.
We are looking for experienced Valuers with 5+ years experience in commercial valuations across the Sydney metro area who wish to take the next step in their careers with a top tier national valuation firm.
Here is a snapshot of your role:
Clients
Conduct valuation preparation, research, inspection and reporting in line with JLL Metro Services’ valuation processes, ensuring compliance with all relevant KPIs. Submit report in accordance with corporate processes.
Review, inspect and analyse sales information and research.
Compile information and complete the valuation calculations, then report on the appropriate database or reporting format.
Organise a review by the State Manager (or their delegate, and/or a peer if required) soliciting feedback and making alterations or amendments as required.
Contact clients to discuss valuation advice and outcomes, including communication about the process undertaken and reasons for outcomes
Provide advice, assistance and peer reviews to others as requested, and escalate any identified risks to State Commercial Manager.
Growth
Contribute to building and improving client relationships through ongoing communication on valuation and other professional issues.
Accompany senior staff as required to client relationship building and business development activities as requested.
Develop and maintain client relationships through face to face meetings and telephone contact, and respond to client enquiries and reports.
People
Provide guidance, support and feedback to Graduates or other Valuers to assist them in completing their work.
Attend and contribute to team meetings and other meetings as requested.
Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in processes and systems within JLL Metro Services and provide suggestions to management and other key staff.
Interested? An ideal candidate would need to have the following qualifications
Desired experience and technical skills
Tertiary qualifications in property valuation
Current AAPI and Certified Practicing Valuer status
Current Open Drivers Licence
Completion of current API Risk Management Module
Completion of current API Certificate of Compliance
Demonstrated knowledge of property market in local and regional area.
Knowledge of leading valuation practices, and personal drive to consistently develop and keep up with relevant industry developments.
Strong customer focus, with a proven ability to build and maintain long term relationships.
Ability to adjust work approach according to feedback from senior staff.
