The Company
Sovereign Valuations was established in 2021 as a boutique property valuation firm specialising in expert witness and compulsory acquisition valuations whilst more recently also undertaking commercial mortgage valuations. The company operates predominantly throughout VIC & NSW servicing government, corporate and private clients. The company has seen fast growth with the headcount increasing quickly – it is an exciting time to join the company!

The Role
This new Assistant Valuer role has been created due to increasing demand for our services. The role is within our Melbourne CBD based valuation team where you will work in a collaborative team environment with experienced senior valuers and assistant valuer colleagues. You will be ‘hands on’ in the valuation process very quickly, joining the senior valuers to site inspections and being taught all facets of valuation from the ground up. The position will provide a clear pathway to CPV with the senior valuers having mentored several assistant valuers to CPV previously. The team work from an office in William Street and there are flexible working arrangements available, however an average of 4 days per week in the office is expected to allow for more efficient collaboration.

The Candidate
Completed or in final year of an Australian Property Institute approved course
Excellent communicator
Able to work within a collaborative team environment
Strong analytical skills and high attention to detail
Ability to work under pressure, multitask and meet deadlines
Passion to learn
Previous experience in the property industry is advantageous
