Assistant Valuer, Agribusiness

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in the preparation of quotations for valuations
• Map and maintain data for properties under supervision
• Update databases for valuation purposes
• Research and appropriately analyse comparable sales evidence
• Contribute to the production of quality and timely valuation reports under supervision
• Assist and attend site inspections with a senior member of the team
• Attend client and industry functions to interact with clients and peers and gain market and business knowledge and industry contacts
• Work with other product lines to complete valuation work for mutual clients
• Liaise with internal / external stakeholders to understand levels of activity

Qualifications

• Property related degree or currently enrolled in tertiary qualifications enabling membership to API
• A rural background or keen interest in agribusiness
• Valid drivers licence
• Strong attention to detail
• Intermediate to Advanced level of MS Office skills
• Strong numerical analytical skills and problem-solving capabilities
• Commercial awareness of the formulation and implementation of strategy
• Problem solving and analytical ability to generate information that provides sound business decisions
• Computer literacy, particularly with MS Excel and Word
• Excellent organisation and time management skills
• Ability to build relationships at all levels of the business
• Demonstrate ongoing growth in practical knowledge on property and valuation
