Lake Macquarie City council is seeking an innovative and self-motivated property professional to join the Valuation and Property Development team. You will be responsible for providing timely and accurate valuation assessments and property related advice, across a broad range of property classes and interests in land.
As the Valuer / Land Economist you will Provide property valuation assessments and advice for variety of purposes and interests in land including but not limited to acquisition, disposal, easements, leasing and licensing, financial reporting, insurance, asset/portfolio management and various statutory purposes. You will advise and participate in negotiations were required with landowners or their appointed representatives on valuation matters. Being responsible to carry out research you will assess the marketability and development potential of land proposed to be acquired or sold by Council, and preparation of feasibility studies related to development projects

LET’S HEAR ABOUT YOU
- You hold a tertiary qualification in a property related discipline
- Displaying a positive attitude that possesses an independent initiative to go the extra mile.
- Previous experience in practicing real estate valuer will see you stand out from the crowd
- You will have excellent communication skills, including well developed negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
- Being a property professionals you have experience in undertaking valuations of varying complexity, across a variety of property sectors, and has experience in undertaking land valuations in accordance with the Land Acquisition (Just Terms Compensation) Act.
- Experience in property development and project management are highly desirable accompanied by knowledge of relevant legal precedents and contract law will help you to excel in this role.
- Current Associate Membership of the Australian Property Institute and Class C Licence is a must

- Competitive salary from $99,427 to $115,550 per year + super
