Program Leader Property Management Services

This position is responsible for leading a team that delivers the strategic and day-to-day management of the Council’s property portfolio including commercial properties, community buildings, asset management, facility management and other property-related activities such as leasing, licensing, easement, right of way, road encroachments, road closures and road dedication.

The position is also responsible for the development and execution of the Council’s buildings asset management plan and maintenance plan to mitigate risks and ensure the best use of the Council’s properties. The position holders will work collaboratively with other parts of the organisation to ensure the delivery of property, building construction and maintenance projects

It is essential that the candidate has tertiary qualifications in Land Economics, Building Economics, Town Planning and/or related disciplines. The candidate must demonstrate extensive knowledge and experience in leading a team of multi-disciplines, managing a complex property portfolio, facilitating asset management outcomes, delivering projects, engaging stakeholders, obtaining value for money, and aligning with the organisation’s strategic vision and mission as well as community strategic plan.

The successful candidate will have the option of entering into a vehicle use agreement (VUA) allowing private use of an allocated vehicle outside of work hours. Private use costs are recovered in a fair and equitable manner.

Salary: commencing at $4016.14 gross per fortnight.
