Property Valuer

Solutions in Engineering is a strong and dynamic market business that provides a range of compliance reports including insurance replacement valuations and other compliance reports to the Strata and Commercial Property Management Sector.

Solutions in Engineering is now seeking a motivated (full time or casual) Property Valuer. If you are, we are now seeking someone like you to join our Sydney team.

About You

Do you have:

• Experience as a qualified Insurance Valuer.
• The ability to plan and manage your own workloads in order to meet deadlines whilst producing quality insurance
  replacement reports.
• Current membership with API or AVI
• The capability to analyse, problem solve and make appropriate decisions, so the majority of insurance valuation reports are
  completed independently. (FYI – If you need help there is a large team to assist you.)
• The aptitude to identify patterns, / problems and opportunities and communicate them to the appropriate team member.
• Effectively and efficiently gathers all the data from site and clients or colleagues with minimal contact to ensure efficient
  work performance.
• Experience and knowledge adding up to competence in using Microsoft Office skills, Word and Excel.
• Possess a current driver’s license and your own vehicle.
• Willingness to take occasional intrastate and interstate trips to complete client work requests.

About the role

You will be responsible for:

• Generate accurate, comprehensive and relevant insurance valuation reports that meet industry requirements. (Additional
  training provided.)
• Gaining and maintaining knowledge of relevant building costs and professional qualifications and memberships. (We can
  assist here. You just need to be motivated.)
• Work un-supervised and with minimum direction
• Provide and support clients and colleagues with the most appropriate solutions, services or products.
• Effectively plan and schedule insurance valuation inspections to ensure sufficient work volume and efficient use of time.

This role will join a team of specialists who are drawn from different professions within the Building Industry. To perform this role, the successful candidate will be required to travel within Brisbane, Regional QLD, and interstate travel including Sydney and, Melbourne.
