Director Valuation Practice

Unique opportunity to establish the valuation practice function at Valuer General NSW.

  • Unique opportunity to establish the valuation practice function at Valuer General NSW
  • Permanent full-time role, location negotiable across NSW
  • TRP starting from $212k including superannuation, commensurate with experience

As the Director Valuation Practice, you will lead a team responsible for the determination and quality assurance of specialist valuations, valuations for compulsory acquisition compensation under the Land Acquisition (Just Terms Compensation) Act 1991, and land valuation objections under the Valuation of Land Act 1916.

This is a key role which provides expert advice on potentially high value and complex compensation, land valuation and other specialist valuation matters. You will also lead key stakeholder and client relationships and engagement to ensure the provision of strategic and technical advice meets stakeholder expectations.

This is an exciting role that brings together the just terms and land valuation objections functions, and will be responsible for promoting a culture of valuation excellence at Valuer General NSW.

About you

To be successful in this role, you will be a proactive and results-driven leader with experience as a qualified valuer in compensation, land valuation and valuation consultancy. You will also hold tertiary qualifications in property, valuation and/or business and have significant experience in managing a valuation practice comprising a range of valuation specialisms.

The key to your success will be exceptional stakeholder engagement skills with a strong commitment to building relationships, customer service and delivering quality outcomes. Additionally, you will be a proven thought leader and have strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire direction and purpose within your team.

It is essential that you have technical expertise in land valuation objections and just terms, and hold professional membership with RICS and/or API.
