What is the role?
An exciting opportunity for a standout Valuation Compliance Manager who will play a paramount role as we reshape our internal Valuation Compliance service. Your key focuses will be supporting the department and organisational strategy ensuring timely and effective delivery services to our Australian banking clients, including overseeing performances of our services and panel firms, and building excellent relationships with clients, internal stakeholders and the valuation industry.
What will you be doing?
The role includes:
- Supporting valuation compliance strategic initiatives for Australia.
- Monitoring the delivery of valuation compliance solutions and services through review of business rules, reporting, manual reviews, audits and client and valuation firm feedback. Providing suggestions to improve processes and systems.
- Being a key subject matter expert for valuation compliance and risk matters and escalations. Reviewing complex and challenging valuations.
- Supporting the relationships with lender clients, panel valuation firms and industry stakeholders. Co-ordinating reporting and engagement with lender clients and panel valuation firms to drive performance improvements.
- Developing and delivering training to upskill internal teams and panel valuation firms to ensure risk and customer experience are well balanced.
Are you the right fit?
Must have:
- Excellent knowledge of Valuation methodologies, industry policy (standards) and process.
- Excellent written and communication skills, including presentation skills
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft applications.
- Critical thinking mindset with an ability to challenge the status quo
- Problem solving, negotiation and conflict resolution skills
- Strong relationship building skills
Good to have:
- Understanding of quality assurance or audit services.
- Understanding of lender credit policies and regulatory requirements as they relate to valuation policy
