PO2 Audit Officer (Valuer)

The primary purpose of this role is to undertake and provide a range of regulatory and audit-related functions including the provision of analysis, research, information and advice to assist in the development and maintenance of best practice audit tools and quality assurance systems to ensure the integrity, transparency and quality of the General Valuation.

This role forms part of the Office of the Valuer-General (OVG) section within the Legal and Legislative Services Division and reports to the Managing Regulatory Officer. The OVG is responsible and accountable for providing the regulatory policy and procedure framework for the State’s Land Valuation System and ensuring that the functions undertaken by the Service Provider, Land Services SA (LSSA), in performing statutory valuations across the State are compliant and effectively administered in accordance with the Valuation of Land Act 1971 and supporting government decision making through the provision of professional valuation advice and strategic services.

To be considered for this position you must:

• Be qualified as a Valuer in accordance with the Land Valuers Act 1994 and Land Valuers Regulations 2010;
• Have eligibility for or have a current Associate Membership of the Australian Property Institute as a Certified Practising Valuer (CPV).
• Must have practised as a land valuer (whether in the service of the Government or privately).
• Have a current Driver’s Licence.
