PO2 Statutory Officer (Valuer)
The primary purpose of this role is to undertake a range of statutory support and valuation services through the provision of advice, reports and quality assurance functions to ensure the effective delivery of valuation services on behalf of the Valuer-General.

The primary purpose of this role is to undertake a range of statutory support and valuation services through the provision of advice, reports and quality assurance functions to ensure the effective delivery of valuation services on behalf of the Valuer-General. Responsibilities include analysis, preparation and review of reports and recommendations prepared by the Service Provider, and valuation activities to support the grievance process and stakeholder and customer service delivery.
This role forms part of the Office of the Valuer-General (OVG) section within the Legal and Legislative Services Division and reports to the Managing Statutory Officer. The OVG is responsible and accountable for providing the regulatory policy and procedure framework for the State’s Land Valuation System and ensuring that the functions undertaken by the Service Provider, Land Services SA (LSSA), in performing statutory valuations across the State are compliant and effectively administered in accordance with the Valuation of Land Act 1971 and supporting government decision making through the provision of professional valuation advice and strategic services.
To be considered for this position you must:
- Be qualified as a Valuer in accordance with the Land Valuers Act 1994 and Land Valuers Regulations 2010;
- Have eligibility for or have a current Associate or Fellow level Membership of the Australian Property Institute as a Certified Practising Valuer (CPV).
- Must have practised as a land valuer (whether in the service of the Government or privately) for a period (whether continuous or aggregate) of at least 5 years.
- Have a current Driver’s Licence.
