PO3 DIT Advisory Valuer
This role is part of a team within the Office of the Valuer-General (OVG) which will have primary responsibility for valuation-related tasks at the behest of the Department for Infrastructure and Transport (DIT), to include acquisitions, disposal and other ad-hoc matters as required.

The primary purpose of this role is to provide quality, timely, relevant and accurate specialist valuation advice and services to DIT projects necessitating the acquisition or disposal of real property assets by providing complex valuation advice and reports. This includes undertaking a broad range of specialised property valuation tasks related to commercial, industrial, rural and institutional properties for a range of non-rating and taxing purposes including acquisition and disposal, financial reporting, insurance and asset valuations.
This role forms part of the OVG section within the Legal and Legislative Services Division and reports to the DIT Senior Advisory Valuer. The OVG is responsible and accountable for providing the regulatory policy and procedure framework for the State’s Land Valuation System and ensuring that the functions undertaken by the Service Provider, Land Services SA (LSSA), in performing statutory valuations across the State are compliant and effectively administered in accordance with the Valuation of Land Act 1971 and supporting government decision making through the provision of professional valuation advice and strategic services.
To be considered for this position you must:
- Be qualified as a Valuer in accordance with the Land Valuers Act 1994 and Land Valuers Regulations 2010;
- Have eligibility for or have a current Associate or Fellow level Membership of the Australian Property Institute as a Certified Practising Valuer (CPV).
- Must have practised as a land valuer (whether in the service of the Government or privately) for a period (whether continuous or aggregate) of at least 5 years.
- Have a current Driver’s Licence.
