Property Officers (APS Level 4 to APS Executive Level 2)

The Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT) has opportunities for motivated and appropriately qualified property professionals to join the Overseas Property Office and Services Division (OPO). There are opportunities across OPO for professionals with portfolio, feasibility, project, contract, procurement, and financial skills and experience relevant to a complex property portfolio.

OPO manages the Australian Government’s domestic and international portfolio of owned and leased properties. The global property portfolio comprises over 1,000 owned and leased properties in 121 overseas locations. The overseas-owned estate is valued at $3 billion. OPO manages all capital works projects, including feasibility, development, refurbishment, new construction, and asset management activities across both the owned and leased estates.
