Opportunity Details:
Walsh and Monaghan are looking for two ambitious, motivated, and resourceful graduate valuers, valuers who share in their passion for valuation and are aligned to the family values of their locally owned and operated business.
These positions will form part of the Rating and Taxation team responsible for completing mass valuations, including all worksheets, supplementary valuations, reports and sales analysis. They will assist with general valuation tasks as required. Graduate Valuers will need to have their student or provisional member of the API working towards RPV or RICS equivalent.
Key Tasks:
- Completing mass valuations for allocated properties and components, including:
- Provision of annual values
- Timely Provision of Supplementary valuations
- Provision of Sales analysis
- Provision or Worksheets
- Completion of Statistical and Quality Assurance (QA) checks
- Provision of Final reports
- Timely responses to Property NSW queries
- Assisting valuers with general valuation tasks – including:
- Attending inspections
- Completion of calculations
- Completion of valuation reports
- Research, collation of information for the completion of valuation reports
- Drafting of valuation reports
- Liaise with support staff to import photographs, online maps, and references into valuation reports
- Checking completed valuation reports prior to Director review
Application Criteria:
- Graduate Valuers will need to have their student or provisional member of the API working towards RPV or RICS equivalent.
- Resourceful and ambitious with the motivation to build a career in valuation
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Current Risk Management Certificate
- Ongoing CPD Compliance
- Current drivers license
- Ability to work unsupervised, to agreed timelines and to a high standard
- Team attitude
- Ability to undertake research and to complete tasks with minimal supervision and a high level of attention to detail
