Annual General Meeting 2019 results
The Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the Australian Property Institute was held end of May. With Director elections occurring this year in August, the meeting was a relatively short but productive event.
Bart Mead represented the Chair who sent his apology on this occasion. He thanked and welcomed all in attendance; opening with acknowledgement of country, welcoming Fellows and Life Fellows joining and sadly, taking a reflective moment to remember those members who have passed since last year’s meeting.
Following the formal welcome, I provided a brief presentation reinforcing the positive growth and emerging membership trends over the past year as detailed in the API Annual Report. Geoff Buchanan, CFO, also spoke to the financial papers published focusing on the rigor implemented around our financial and operational systems since 2018.
Resolutions passed at the meeting formalised the proposed changes to the Constitution. The meeting further acknowledged receipt of the Annual Report in respect of API Ltd and its controlled entities, including the Auditor’s and Financial reports for the 12 month period ending 31 December 2018. HLB Mann Judd Assurance (NSW) Pty Ltd were appointed as auditor across all API entities and the agreed auditor fee was approved.
I am pleased to confirm that the business of the API's 2019 Annual General Meeting is now complete.
