API Accredited Courses are offered from tertiary institutions around the country via face to face, online and blended learning.

All universities are accredited for a period of five years. In the fifth year, API works with the University to achieve a further five year endorsement, ensuring the quality of education is maintained and changes are incorporated should they be required. All students enrolled in a course due for reaccreditation will receive the agreed benefits from the endorsement period.

Sydney University of TAFE

Period of Accreditation: 1st January 2016 – 31st December 2020

The following Conditions of API Accreditation apply:

  1. Entry into undergraduate programs is in accordance with the API’s Accreditation Policy (2013).
  2. The Bachelor of Property Valuation is accredited for Associate Membership, with Certified Practising Valuer (CPV) eligibility.

  2. University of New South Wales 8127 Masters of Property Development is accredited for Associated membership with the certifications: Certified Development Practitioner, Certified Facilities Manager and Certified Property Practitioner.
  3. Course promotional material must clearly outline entry requirements and available API certification outcomes.
  4. Course Accreditation is conditional on the submission of an Annual Report. The Report Template will be provided by the API and the submission date is 31 March, starting March 2020.
  5. The API can withdraw accreditation of the program at any time if the program fails to meet Institute Standards and requirements, and the University of New South Wales is required to update the Institute of any changes to the endorsed program

Western Sydney University

Period of Accreditation: 1st January 2020 – 31st December 2024

B Business (Property) has accreditation with the Australian Property Institute (API)
Note: Students must also complete the Bachelor of Business core units, the Property Major as well as a numeracy unit (either 200032 Statistics for Business or 200052 Introduction to Economic Methods) and the Enterprise Engaged Unit 200360 Property Project to be eligible to apply for professional recognition.

Period of Accreditation: 19th June 2018 – 31st December 2023

The following Conditions of API entry apply:

  1. The Master of Property (200 point entry point) qualification:
    1. Entry is for those who have completed an undergraduate degree in a cognate area with a weighted average mark of at least H3 (65%), or equivalent.
    2. endorsed for Associate Membership with Certified Practising Valuer (CPV)
  2. The Master of Property (300 point entry point) qualification:
    1. Entry is for those who have completed an undergraduate degree in a any area with a weighted average mark of at least H3 (65%), or equivalent.
    2. endorsed for Associate Membership with Certified Practising Valuer (CPV).
  3. The Graduate Diploma in Property Valuation:
    1. Entry is for those who have completed an undergraduate degree with a weighted average mark of at least H3 (65%) in a cognate discipline, such as Commerce, Business, Planning, Architecture, Building, Quantity Surveying, Law or Engineering; and one year documented relevant work experience, or equivalent.
    2. endorsed for Associate Membership with Certified Practising Valuer (CPV) providing study has previously been undertaken in Financial Accounting and Property Law.
Deakin University
