Who is it for?
Provisional Membership with Residential Property Valuer (RPV) is open to those who have completed an API accredited course and who have 12 months’ residential property valuation experience within the past 24 months. If you don’t yet have the required experience you can apply for MAPI Membership.

What does an RPV Certification enable?
Provisional Members who have successfully gained the RPV designation can undertake valuations of residential properties in accordance with the API Code of Ethics and Rules of Professional Conduct.
Eligibility
- Must have completed an API RPV accredited course
- Must have completed all requisite API Practical Valuation Training program
- Must have accrued a minimum of one years’ experience in the past two years
Application Process
Payment of $160 application fee prior to assessment.
Online application including:
- Full completion of profile
- Upload all required documentation
- Copy of degree certificate and/or Academic Transcript
- Experience Journal demonstrating one years’ full-time experience
- 3 Referee Reports
- 3 Report Samples (maximum one short form report permitted) including Letters of Instruction, Letters of Certification, and Field Notes
- Completion of Member declaration
- Completion of API report review and professional interview process
Membership is active once application has been completed in full, approved and the fee paid.

Certified practitioners can promote their qualifications through posting their postnominals, highlighting their knowledge, competence and credibility in the property industry. It also gives confidence to clients, employers and peers when dealing with someone with the relevant professional status and experience.
