WA’s State of the Market Commercial breakfast will give you a chance to hear directly from industry leaders across differing commercial property sectors. 

The event brings together experts in the retail, industrial and office property markets, providing insight into the current state of the market and the outlook for the future.

These experts will provide a snapshot of their industry, then come together in an interactive panel session moderated by Ann Manifis, who has over 20 years’ experience in property and is the National Director, Head of Retail of JLL.

For those working in, or with an interest in the commercial property market sector, this is an event not to be missed!

Cate Baker
Associate Director, Corporate Solutions, JLL

Cate Baker is an Associate Director in the Tenant Representation division of JLL. Cate is responsible for providing advice to clients on all corporate property related matters, including the formulation of accommodation strategies, delivering on those strategies and providing continuing support on their real estate portfolio, ensuring a pro-active response to changing market conditions.  Cate’s focus is assisting a local, national and global client base with the real estate decision making process by providing relevant market information, lease review, negotiation and financial analysis reporting.


Richard Cash
State Director, Advisory & Transaction Services, CBRE

Richard Cash is the Director of the Perth office and is responsible for the performance and management of the Retail Investments, Retail Leasing and Large Format Retail Business lines.  Richard is a retail specialist with over 20 years property experience. Richard has worked predominantly in agency positions but his experience also extends to working directly on the retail side with large retailers such as Woolworths, and for owners such as Hawaiian Management Group.  Richard has a strong track record in the sale and leasing of both static centres and the project leasing of developments/centre expansions for both large format retail and retail shopping centre disciplines.


Julie Drago
Executive Director, Hero Properties

As Executive Director of Hero Properties, Julie is the principle asset manager and assists clients develop properties and buildings that meet their individual requirements. Julie hasbeen involved in property development for most of my working life, learning through education and experience, the importance of tailoring properties to unique client requirements to facilitate superior productivity and long term relationships in facilitating superior productivity and improved cost efficiency. Over the last 5 years Julie and her team have assisted many clients develop properties and buildings that meet their individual requirements. Over that time, she has retained almost all clients often developing new properties to meet their changing needs.


John Malcolm
Asset Manager, DEXUS Property Group

John Malcolm is an Asset Manager at Dexus responsible for the overall financial and operational performance of a portfolio of office properties located in Perth. He has more than 10 years’ experience in commercial property, primarily in asset management gained in organisations including Dexus and Stockland, in Perth and Sydney. Dexus is one of Australia’s leading real estate groups, proudly managing a high quality Australian property portfolio valued at $24.9 billion. Dexus’s footprint in Perth incorporates office and retail properties valued in excess of $1 billion, including 240 St Georges Terrace, Kings Square and Carillon City.

Ann Manifis
National Director, Head of Retail, JLL

Ann has more than 20 years’ experience within the West Australian retail sector.  Her experience includes Property Management and Marketing service delivery to a range of institutional and private investor clients covering retail and commercial.  Ann is currently a National Director for JLL and heads up the most prominent agency retail management department in WA which comprises some 360,000 square metres and 60 retail staff.  Ann has developed a reputation for providing clients with effective strategic advice, identifying areas for improvement in the day-to-day management of retail properties and building and maintaining excellent relationships.
