David Bailey
CEO, Australian Finance Group

David is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Australia and New Zealand and also a Fellow of FINSIA (Financial Services Institute of Australasia) with over 30 years’ professional experience.
David has been with AFG for over thirteen years. Upon graduating from university, David entered the chartered accounting profession where he stayed until 2000 when he took on his first senior role in commerce.
In 2004 David joined AFG as Chief Financial Officer, and took on responsibility for the finance operations of the AFG group as a whole. In 2015 David was appointed to the role of Chief Operating Officer with this role encompassing the AFG Securitisation business. In 2017 David was appointed to the role of CEO.
David has been a Member of the Western Australian Cricket Association (WACA) for over two decades and also sits on the WACA Board.

Mark Borrello
Managing Principal, LSV Borrello Lawyers

Mark practices in all areas of real estate and land development law. He has an in-depth knowledge of the land subdivision process, starting with the initial acquisition of greenfield sites, the obtaining of development approvals, the entry into agreements with adjoining landowners and works contractors, preparing of sale contracts, deposited plan registration processes, title creation and settlements.
Mark has led the acquisition of major parcels of land in Western Australia. Mark also advises land and property developers and owners, government instrumentalities and not-for-profit organisations in relation to the structuring of property projects, drafting of joint venture agreements, development agreements, real estate related service agreements, project delivery agreements and land development agreements. His work includes advising clients on the advantages and disadvantages of different structures and the analysis of risks associated with those structures.
Mark has acted for developers in a number of landmark strata titled projects and has an in-depth knowledge of the issues relevant to mixed use strata title developments.

Lisa Joyce
Deputy President, REIWA

Lisa was elected Deputy President of the Real Estate Institute of Western Australia (REIWA) on 4 October 2018 and has served on REIWA Council since 2016 and the Finance & Risk Management Committee since 2017.
Lisa has a Diploma of Property Services and is an experienced, senior real estate practitioner with an excellent understanding of agency practice and the regulatory environment in which real estate practitioners operate. 
In March this year, Lisa was nominated by the Institute to serve as its representative on the Property Industry Advisory Committee and after her nomination being endorsed by Cabinet, formally took up her role on 10 August.
Lisa is a Director of Joyce Property Investments and responsible for the management of 25 employees and a residential rent roll of 1,100 properties.

Sean Macfarlane
Senior Lawyer, Strata Titles Act Reform, Landgate

Sean is the Senior Lawyer in the Strata Reform team at Landgate and was the lead advisor in Parliament to the Minister for Lands (in the Legislative Assembly) and the Minister for Environment (in the Legislative Council) during debate of the Strata Titles Amendment Bill 2018 and the Community Titles Bill 2018. Sean was admitted to practice in 1992 and joined Landgate in 2005. At Landgate, Sean was Director of the International Services Branch that delivered land titling reform consulting services to foreign governments. Sean specialises in strata and property law and has been dedicated to the strata reforms (Strata Titles Amendment Act and Community Titles Act) for more than six years.

Gavin is one of Australia’s most influential voices in property. As a skilled analyst of the property and finance sectors, he is a prolific market commentator and shares his insightful understanding in forecasting future market trends. Gavin has earned a longstanding reputation of integrity and business innovation and has been a prominent member of Western Australia’s property industry for 35 years. He shares his expertise as a regular guest presenter to many corporate and industry conferences and events and authored the book ‘The Residential Property Market’ and he finds great enjoyment in researching the property, finance and share markets in understanding how they fit together.
