This seminar will provide an overview of the 1 October 2016 Site Revaluation from a Brisbane perspective from representatives from various teams within the State Valuation Service providing updates on Brisbane Central, Residential, Commercial & Industrial property.

Presenters

Neil Bray FAPI
Queensland's Valuer General

Neil was appointed as Queensland’s Valuer-General and commenced in this role in October 2010.  He has moved back to his home State after serving as South Australia’s Valuer-General for nearly 11 years. Neil is a Fellow of the Australian Property Institute and a Fellow of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors and has represented Australasian Valuers-General on the Australian Valuation and Property Standards Board since 2000. He continues in this role on the newly formed Australian Valuation Standards Board from 1 January 2012.

Denis Wall AAPI
Principal Valuer, State Valuation Service

Denis Wall is the Principal Valuer responsible for the statutory valuations of residential properties within Brisbane City. Denis has been a property valuer for over 29 years in a wide range of valuation forums. He has valuation experience in both the private and public sectors including statutory valuations, mortgage valuations and valuations for State Land Administration.  Denis will provide an overview of the residential valuations throughout Brisbane.

Ben Hart AAPI
Principal Valuer, State Valuation Service

Ben Hart is the Principal Valuer in charge of the CBD Team. They are responsible for all of the statutory land valuations of properties located in the CBD and CBD fringe precincts. Ben was registered as a Valuer in 2005 and has over ten years’ experience dealing with CBD Appeals and giving expert evidence to the Land Court of Queensland. Ben will be providing an overview of the 1 October 2016 valuation for this area.

Scott Lanchester AAPI
Principal Valuer, State Valuation Service

Scott Lanchester is the Principal Valuer with the State Valuation Service, managing the commercial and industrial teams of Brisbane office. Scott has worked in the property industry since 1997 including the roles of property management, asset management, leasing and valuation. Scott will provide a brief outline of the changes in commercial and industrial values across Brisbane as a result of the October 2016 Annual Valuation.
