Webinar: Essential ABS data for valuers (G190402)
Join ABS Chief Economist, Bruce Hockman, and Jennifer Williams, National Director (Research), m3property, for valuable insights into fundamental ABS (Australia Bureau of Statistics) data that valuers use every day.
This webinar will ask questions property professionals need to know the answers to, in order to better understand and analyse the ABS data. Firstly, it will go through general questions, which are of interest for property professionals working across all sectors and then it will focus on individual sectors including residential; retail; industrial and education. There will also be a chance for you to ask Bruce any questions on ABS data.

Chief Economist, Australian Bureau of Statistics
Bruce Hockman is the Chief Economist for the Australian Bureau of Statistics
Bruce has an economics degree from Adelaide University and he also did post-graduate studies at Macquarie University. He joined the ABS in 2005 as Director of Quarterly Economy Wide Surveys and Prices in Sydney, the team provides around 60% of the data used for the quarterly national accounts. Bruce was appointed as Branch Head of National Accounts in 2010. Prior to joining the ABS Bruce worked at the RBA, Deutsche Bank and as CEO of the Anglican Diocese of Newcastle.
With a long career in macro-economics Bruce uses his knowledge to apply international statistical frameworks to produce a coherent and reliable picture of the Australian Economy and Environment.
National Director (Research), m3property
Jennifer is the National Director of Research and is responsible for management of the National Research team, providing analysis and forecasts of property market indicators across all asset classes throughout Australia and regular market publications.
Jennifer has worked across all the major property sectors including office, retail, industrial, residential and hotels. She has also contributed to a number of national and global property industry publications.
Jennifer’s previous property based roles were senior positions in international agency-based research teams at CBRE and JLL, working across all the major sectors.
Jennifer commenced employment with m3property in August 2012.
