Executive Forum: Class 3 Appeals – Court Practice and Procedures (N180306)
The Land and Environment Court has been conducting trials in longer Class 3 matters on a paperless basis.
The judges of the Land and Environment Court have proposed changes to the Class 3 Compensation Claims Practice Note. Some changes include proposed shortened timelines for provision of material by the litigants as well as providing for an early initial conciliation conference in all matters. Arguably the revised timeline and other changes will result in a significant shortening in the pre-trial period for matters not settled by conciliation.
It is anticipated the revised Practice Note and Standard Directions will come into effect for Class 3 compensation matters filed on or after 1 March 2018.
Do not miss this important Executive Forum as Justice Tim Moore discusses paperless trials and the Practice Note changes and shares his other observations of Just Terms matters.
Professor John Sheehan AM, LFAPI will act as moderator for the forum.
Who should attend: Property developers, property financiers, property lawyers, valuers, asset managers, property researchers, development advisors, Local and State Government agencies, property advisors.
