Following the success of the previous “Building the Future” events focusing on Retail, Office and Residential, the Young Property Professionals are proud to present the fourth event in this event series which will centre around Retirement and Healthcare.
This event will provide a market update on the Retirement and Healthcare industries, focusing on the current position of the market and key trends for the future of the sector.
General Manager - Queensland, MacroPlan
Mark Courtney is an accomplished property professional whose experience uniquely positions him to provide leadership in property research and consultancy. He has considerable experience in the analysis and development of Australia’s property sector, including extensive market trend analysis and feasibility assessment. He has land demand and supply modelling expertise across industrial, residential, commercial, health /retirement, aged and childcare land uses. Mark joined MacroPlan following several years as a Research Director at Colliers International. In his role at Colliers, Mark was responsible for industrial, rural and agribusiness research nationally and for residential and commercial property research throughout Queensland. Mark has worked on many high profile projects for a wide range of property owners, developers and investors. He has advised with respect to major projects, urban renewal initiatives and commercial property and development projects. Prior to this, Mark was employed as an economist with Queensland Treasury. He also performed duties as a company director, hotel general manager and private business owner/partner. Mark has published research papers including: Supply Chain Trends: Implications for Industrial Property and The National Intermodal Terminal Challenge. He authored multiple reports while at Colliers including the Industrial and Rural and Agribusiness Research and Forecasts Reports. He currently writes for the Asian Executive and is available for economic expert witness work.
Director, Retirement and Healthcare Brisbane, CBRE
Warren has over 15 years experience in providing professional valuations to private and public sector owners, lending institutions and consultants in respect of retirement villages, residential aged care facilities and medical facilities. He also has extensive experience in aged care and retirement village feasibility studies and development options analysis, including cash flow and demand modeling. Warren has over 15 years experience in the real estate industry as a property valuer, which encompasses valuations within Queensland, New South Wales and Victoria.
Director Strategy, Blue Care
Glenys has held senior leadership roles since joining Blue Care in 2001 as Allied Health Manager Brisbane. She has experience working in health, community services and disability services across clinical, management and policy roles. Glenys joined the Blue Care Executive Team in July 2012. Glenys played an integral part in the development of Blue Care’s service model, Blue Care Tailor Made, and has been involved in the development of service programs in the areas of Chronic Disease Management, Palliative Care and Disability. She is currently a member of the NACA Home Support Advisory Group and the Queensland Disability Partnership Forum. Glenys holds a Master of Human Services Management and Policy, and a Bachelor of Physiotherapy. She is an Eden Associate and an alumnus of Queensland Leadership (Social Leadership Australia).
