The API and REIV take pride in delivering to members the annual State of the Market Seminar which is always both substantive and topical.
The seminar will address five of the property markets integral areas being Retail, Residential, Commercial and Industrial with the keynote address being committed to the Economic Forecast.
Topic: Industrial Market Update
Tony Crabb is an Industry Commentator on the Property and Investment markets and is the National Director of Research with Cushman and Wakefield.
He is an advisor to the Reserve Bank of Australia where he is part of their business liaison unit and also an advisor to the Federal Department of Treasury.
Tony is Chair of the Advisory Board of the Property and Real Estate Faculty at Deakin University.
Tony worked for Savills as their National Head of Research for over 11 years. Based in the Melbourne office, he worked with a team of 9 researchers and oversaw the production of over 250 reports a year. He worked across the sales, leasing, valuations and management divisions of Savills working closely with the teams and their clients.
Tony joined Savills from ISPT where he was responsible for a $100 million listed property portfolio and investment research. Tony also worked as part of the senior management team on the strategic direction of ISPT’s $6 billion portfolio.
Prior to joining Savills Tony spent ten years in equities funds management at Colonial, Institutional Stockbroking at Barclays and as an equities analyst.
Tony has a Bachelor of Arts degree, a Diploma of Financial Services, is a member of the Faculty of Australian Writers, is a graduate of Rogen, has qualifications in equities, futures, options and foreign exchange trading. Tony is the author of four books. Tony also gave a TED talk at TEDx Queenstown in April 2016 on Climate Change and Property.

Andrew joined JLL in July 2007 and is the Head of Research Australia. He manages the largest and most diverse property research team in Australia, which is highly integrated with their research platforms in Asia Pacific, Europe and the Americas.
The Australian Research team has 25 professionals covering commercial, residential and alternatives real estate sectors. Andrew is responsible for managing the Australian research platform and participating in a range of initiatives, including: market analysis, forecasting, research client engagement, thought leaderships and product development.
JLL Research offers the most comprehensive and highly regarded Research subscription service in Australia and the Asia Pacific – the Real Estate Intelligence Service (REIS). Established in 1988, the REIS product has the longest time series of property market indicators across the office, retail and industrial sectors.
Andrew is a well-respected commentator and analyst in the commercial property industry. He is widely quoted in the media and presents at industry events hosted by the Property Council of Australia, Australia Property Institute and Construction Forecasting Council.
Andrew is also involved with a number of universities and has guest lectured at University of Technology Sydney, the University of Melbourne and the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology (RMIT).
Andrew is an experienced industry researcher with fifteen+ years’ experience across the property, management consultancy and logistics industry sectors. He holds an MBA from Durham University Business School, an MA in Applied Research and a BA (Hons) in Business Economics.
