4:00 Forum - Site Visit - Googong Commercial Precincts (A190227)
Googong is a whole new self-contained township being built in NSW, just 16km south of Parliament House in Canberra. It will be built over the next 20 years and will eventually be home to 18,000 people in around 6,000 homes. The town will include two primary schools, two secondary schools and a town centre with the amenity you would expect from a thriving township. The first residents moved in 2014. To date 1,800 lots have been sold with further releases becoming available
For the first time, the bus tour will access the second neighbourhood of Googong which includes the site of the future town centre (that will be about the size of greater Manuka). The bus will tour past key points of interest and on completion of the bus tour, there will be an opportunity to stop at the first Village Centre to take a look at the new businesses. Guy Randell from Burgess Rawson will do a walk through the brand new shopping village and give a short presentation on the Commercial opportunities and results in Googong.
Meeting at 27 Beltana Avenue, Googong.
Registrations for this event will close Thursday, 21 February 2019, so please register prior to close of business on this day to avoid disappointment.
