William has in excess of 25 years experience as a Commercial Property Valuer working for multi-national accounting and valuation businesses, a period of employment with the Commonwealth of Australia (Australian Property Group), and with Opteon (and its predecessors) since 2000.

William is proud to have served on the Australian Valuation and Property Standards Board (AVPSB) and was actively involved in the maintenance and writing of Valuation Standards and Guidance Notes for the Australian Property Institute.

Major commercial properties William has valued include the Reserve Bank Building; Commonwealth Government Centre; the Australian Taxation Office Building; the Henry Jones IXL Development (Sullivans Cove); various shopping centres; major industrial facilities and some of Tasmania’s iconic tourism assets. William has had experience in valuing specialised agribusiness assets, such as marine fish farms, hatcheries and processing facilities or intensive agriculture.

William was the Managing Director of Opteon Tasmania from 2009-2016, a period in which the business achieved a dominate position as the preferred supplier of valuation within the State and recorded solid fiscal results.

In 2015 William was engaged by Opteon as National Head of Commercial Valuations and encouraged a consistency of reporting and valuation methodology to enhance the commercial valuation capability within the group.
